Pharmacist (薬師) is a job class that originally hailed from YGGDRASIL.

Background

In the New World, Pharmacists are herbalists who would usually work under the kind of business that involves making potions.[1] Pharmacists even visit villages to look for herbs and collect them as materials to help make them.[2]

Nfirea has once stated that experimentation is the fundamental principle of every pharmacist out there.

When war ensued between the Re-Estize Kingdom and the Baharuth Empire over E-Rantel, the city has pharmacists take on the role of managing apothecaries.[3]

Abilities and Powers

Pharmacists needed to use magic when making their potions and medicines. The more famous the Pharmacists become over time, the higher the tier of magic they could use.

By YGGDRASIL standard, with their herbological skills, Pharmacists are capable of learning about the various herbs they could harvest in the area.[4]

Trivia

  • It was said that E-Rantel comprised of more pharmacists than a normal city. For that reason, there was a union called the Pharmacist's Guild dedicated towards them.[5]
  • Amidst fierce competition with her rivals, Lizzie Bareare had earned fame as the best pharmacist in the region of the New World. She was renowned for creating the most complex potions of all the pharmacists within the city.
  • According to Lizzie, it used to be a joke between pharmacists that the gods had blue blood.
  • According to the Chief Pharmacist of a Dark Elf Village, the smell of crushed plants would naturally be soaked into a pharmacist's body, and the residue would noticeably be staining their fingers.[6]
  • In the New World, those from YGGDRASIL are still able to prepare medicine even without a Pharmacist class, so long as the items they use are unique to the New World and not from YGGDRASIL.
